The Red Travertine is one of the most common Travertines in the past time. This kind of Travertine has two mines in Iran. One of them is the Isfahan Red Travertine and the other one is the Azarshahr Red Travertine. The Red Travertine is mostly used in special spaces such as in the form of bands on the wall and the margin of floors.
The uniform use of Red Travertine in the floor or walls of a limited space can create a unique pattern.
The Isfahan Red Travertine has a low quality. The rubbing capability of these stones are low and in some cases dandruff appears after the installation on the surface of the stone. These reasons have caused to the low price of Isfahan Red Travertine compared to the Azarshahr Red Travertine. It is worth to note that the use of this stone in cut and thin forms, will not show the mentioned deficiencies and its affordable price can be considered as an advantage. It should be considered that this stones are naturally long and do not have much wastes during the production.
The Azarshahr Red Travertine is mature and there is no dandruff problem. The presence of yellow to red veins inside this Travertine gives a spectacular view to the stone. The rubbing capability of this Travertine is high and in case of the use of appropriate polishers, a special brightness will be appeared. Due to a long distance between the mine and production workshop, the transportation price will be high and it rises the final price of the product. The Azarshahe Red Travertine is a relatively expensive stone which is exported in both raw and cut forms.
