The Yazd Chocolate Travertine is one of the best Chocolate stones. This Travertine has a very dark color and tends to brownish color. The placing of this dark Travertine beside the cream and white stones, gives a beautiful look. This stones are available in 40 cm longitudinal cuts and is used in the facade. This stone has many pores which the mortar fills the pores and causes to the strong attachment of the stone to the wall. Resin is used frequently in the production of Yazd Chocolate Travertine because of the porous structure of the rock and this rises the production fees.

The rubbing capability of the Yazd Chocolate Travertine is high and in case of rubbing with appropriate polishers, a transparent surface will be appeared. It must be noted that the use of epoxy and adhesive is necessary in the backside of the stone to avoid from the opening of the cracks during rubbing. This stone is produced in long sizes and is easily used.

The Yazd Chocolate Travertine is extracted from the mines of Yazd city and because of its beautiful color it is used in the facade of the buildings, internal spaces such as lobby, salons, and etc. This stone is also used as a thin band and causes to a good relief of the adjacent stone.

This stone is classified to two sorts of weak and strong stones which the strong variety has no impurities. Inside the weak sort of Chocolate stones, the red veins are clearly seen and have a low price.
