For this reason, granite is a highly resistant stone and is applicable in rough and harsh environments. For example granite is suitable for industrial and laboratory spaces because granite is not easily scratched and broken. It is also used in the spaces with high rate of traffic such as metro stations.
Although granite stones have varied color spectra, their color variations are not comparable with Travertine and Marble. Black, Red, Green, Orange, Gray, and Cream granites are the most common varieties. Granites have grain texture which has caused to their coarse textures. This stone is not suitable for unique designs but its resistance is not a parameter which can be easily neglected.
Because of very smooth surface of granites, it is not suitable to use as a facade stone, it may be fallen from the high places and can be dangerous, so it is favorite of internal spaces.
Some of the most important granites are Nehbandan and Natanz Granites.
